I moved to the New Forest at the end of 2025 and apparently decided the best way to settle in was to train for another marathon, join a cricket team and start digging up the garden.

‘Notes from the New Forest’ is part diary, part life update and part evidence for future generations that I believed I could do it all myself.

Expect running miles, muddy shoes, music gigs, cold water swims and ongoing battles with weeds.
